[ What is FilmKW? ]

FilmKW is a partnership between the City of Kitchener, City of Waterloo, Township of Wilmot, Township of Wellesley, and the Regional Municipality of Waterloo.

The purpose [1] of the partnership is to attract film and television production to our municipalities. We are a community of urban and rural locations, for the most part unexplored by the film and television industry. We have politicians and staff prepared to make filming in our community as straightforward and enjoyable as possible.

The purpose [2] of FilmKW is to bring the partner municipalities together to share services and expertise and to develop and implement policies and procedures that will ensure that the world recognizes the potential of our community for film locations. FilmKW will ensure that the industry is provided seamless, excellent service when they are in our community.

[ What is a 'Virtual' Office? ]

FilmKW isn't bound to any conventional rules. This unique organization operates as a gateway to the entire FilmKW area. Within 48 hours, FilmKW can have your scene locations, filming permits and other particulars worked out.

It's all about cutting through the red tape.
